German Kindergarten and Pre–School in Helsinki (D'KiGA)

The German–speaking kindergarten of the German Evangelical Lutheran Congregation in Finland, which also houses a pre–school of the German School Helsinki (DSH), offers space in three age–separated groups for a total of 35 children from 3 to 7 years of age. The aim of the kindergarten is to give the children the opportunity to develop or maintain the German language. One goal of the families may be a later attendance at the DSH. The German Kindergarten prepares the children optimally for this path from the beginning and coordinates closely with the management of the German School.

The kindergarten is located at the foot of Tähtitorninmäki right next to the German Church in the centre of Helsinki. The German School Helsinki (DSHThe link opens in a new tab) is about 20 minutes away on foot and the kindergarten is easily accessible by public transport (tram, metro and bus) from all areas of the city. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the main railway station. The premises of the German Kindergarten are located in the house of the German Congregation in Finland (DELGiF).

We are open Monday to Friday from 7.30-17.00.
