Service times and availability in our congregation in summer 2024
We are here for you, even during the summer: Parish pastor Päivi Lukkari is on duty until 30 June and again from 29 July. Head pastor Tina Meyn is in the vicarage and available from 3–12 July and then again from 5 August. Deacon Timo Sentzke is on duty until 5 July and again from 24 July 2024.

The parish office is open all summer on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 2 pm: Kaija Härkänen is deputising for the parish secretary this year and can be contacted by phone on +358 50 469 9920, email kaija.harkanen@evl.fi — and as always you can also contact us by email deutschegemeinde@evl.fi.

Groups and circles this summer
Most groups and circles take a break during the summer and will meet again after the school holidays in August. The handicraft circle will continue to meet every Tuesday at 11 a.m. for breakfast, either in the fireside lounge or in the parish garden in Helsinki in warm weather… and the trombone choir practices on Tuesdays in the parish hall: you can find out if and when exactly they blow by contacting Conni on +358 40 508 9671 or Richard on +358 50 552 4995. A warm welcome!
The women's group meets again on the first Monday in September. The toddler group and the other groups such as the men's circle, children's choir, German-Finnish choir, film evening and Taizé devotions are suspended during the school holidays, i.e. from the end of May to mid-August. All information is always updated here in the parish website.
Even when the groups and circles are not meeting, the German Church in Helsinki is open every weekday from 10 am to 4 pm for visitors and friends of the community - and the community garden is also available to anyone looking for some peace and quiet!
