Building Committee and Property Management of the Congregation

The Property Management Advisory Committee of the German Evangelical Lutheran Congregation takes care of all the properties of the congregation, the church, the congregation hall, the congregation centre in Turku and the various flats. In their maintenance, the building committee supports the property manager.

This involves planning large and small renovations, tendering for possible contracts and supervising the actual renovation work. In the case of very large tasks, such as the upcoming energy renovation in the community hall, or even the window renovation in the Elderly Residence (DSWH), an external person or company is hired to supervise the work. The building committee draws up renovation and investment plans, takes care of tenders and evaluations of the tenders. This advisory board meets a few times a year, especially in connection with budget planning in the autumn of the year.
